Warehouse Assistant – Hull

Our Hull client is currently looking for a candidate on an temporary on-going basis.

This client specialises in the design, manufacture and operation of process equipment for the animal feed and biofuel markets.

They are see seeking a candidate to fulfil this physically demanding role as part of a small team responsible for the control of stock within a busy warehouse environment.


Our client is based in a central area of Hull and accessible by Public Transport.


For the role of warehouse Assistant duties of the role will include;

  • Inspection of incoming goods and reconciliation with purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in type, quantity and of an acceptable quality.
  • Reporting product non-compliance.
  • Accurate recording of transactions on computer systems and manually on documents.
  • Diligent picking of parts to ensure efficient and accurate dispatch of goods, securely packing for shipment worldwide.
  • Locating items within the warehouse and workshop areas whist maintaining an uncluttered work space.
  • To work in accordance with the company’s health and safety policies, wearing correct personal safety equipment and adopting safe working practices whilst manually handling products and stock.
  • Stock control of all parts and a key role required during the annual stock take.
  • Report any ideas or concerns directly to the purchasing manager or deputy in his absence.
  • Occasional Delivery and collection from local suppliers in a company supplied van.
  • Excellent communication skills required whilst dealing with suppliers, customers, delivery drivers and other members of the Andritz team.
  • To work as part of the warehouse team, being flexible to achieve the results required and maintaining a professional standard.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.


Before applying for the role of Warehouse Assistant please ensure that you have read the requirements for this role;


  • Experience is required in the use of slings & chains for moving non-uniform shaped parts.
  • Full driving licence
  • Counter balance and reach fork lift truck licence.
  • Have good numeracy, literacy and organizational skills.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Over 25 due to driving insurance criteria


  • Computer literate; with experience of Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of engineering terminology and parts

Hours & Pay Rates

Pay Rate – £9.00 p/h

Hours – 8.45am – 4pm Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute lunch break and x2 15 minute breaks, plus on a Friday alternating later start times and earlier 3pm/3.30pm finish times! Flexibility will be required as over when necessary may include weekend work
