Brand New Process Operator role!

Our client is currently recruiting for a Process Plant Operator.
This role offers applicants a new challenge, in addition to the gaining a permanent role at a well-established business!

Location

Our client is based in Holme Upon Spalding Moore. Roughly 35 minutes from Hull and 20 minutes from Goole

With this in mind, applicants are encouraged to ensure they are able to get to the location of work prior to applying.

Unfortunately, this client is not on a frequent public transport route, for this reason applicants would ideally have their own transport.

Duties

For the role of Production Process Operator, duties will include;

  • To learn and execute all skilled jobs in the Cultured Products department
  • Primary focus is processing plant capability – this must be in place for successful completion of probation period (six months)
  • Responsible for manufacturing excellent product to specification
  • Complete all production checks and paperwork correctly and in a timely manner
  • Liaise with warehouse to ensure packaging and ingredients are delivered to lineside OTIF
  • Ensure self and colleagues work in a safe manner always, protecting the environment
  • Follow GMP and adopt a “clean as you go culture”
  • Develop and implement workplace organisation and contribute to waste reduction activities
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of SOPs, risk assessments and process standards
  • Crossing training on other skilled roles likely – e.g. filling and packing

Applicants should be aware this role does involve a large amount of Manual handling.

Requirements

Before applying for the role of Production Process Operator please ensure that you have read the requirements for this role;

  • Background of working in a food factory or a background of Chemical Process Operating and able to understand complex processes
  • Flexible approach in team – will be covering several roles once trained
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues in own team and other teams
  • Understand the need for accurate record keeping for quality, food safety and personal safety
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, due to nature of shift working
  • Good awareness of the microbiological and foreign body risks in their production area

Hours & Salary

Salary – For the role of Process Plant Operator our client are offering a salary of £21,332.73.

Equivalent to £10.01 hourly (£8.26 basic per hour, +19% shift premium)

Hours – Monday – Friday 6am -2pm, 2pm – 10pm rotating shifts, with 10 minutes handover paid as overtime.

Holidays – 25 days annual plus 8 bank holidays, 8 hours per day – Currently applicants are expected to work 3 Bank Holiday Monday’s (2 x May, 1 x Aug) with 3 premiums paid in advance. Other BH are planned off and any worked hours are voluntary overtime paid at premium.
