Production Operatives- Driffield

Our client is a family run business and has been running since 1969. This client is a respected sugar merchants, food distributors and marzipan confectionery manufacturers. They stock an extensive range of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, pulses and grains in bulk or retail quantities, which are supplied to bakeries, health food shops, delicatessens and retail outlets.


Our client are based in the town of Driffield. They are not on a public transport route however is easily accessible from the main town.

Role of a Production Operative:

For the role of production operatives duties will include;

  • Working on a confectionary production line
  • Working with a variety of confectionary products from sweets to peanuts
  • Ensuring that production standards and deadlines are met efficiently, safely and to appropriate production hygiene standards
  • Lifting products and putting them on the line
  • Making sure the work area is clean and tidy
  • Adhering to food safety manufacturing standards
  • To be an active member of a team
  • Reporting any issue to the QC or production

Pay Rate & Hours

  • Pay rate: £8.21 per hour (£10.21 per hour over time after 40)
  • Training – while training applicants will work 8am-4.30pm however in peak times applicants MUST be available to work on either a 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm shift
  • After training applicants would work on 11am – 8pm Monday – Thursday and Fridays 11am – 5pm however in peak times applicants MUST be available to work on either a 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm shift
  • Ongoing work every week Monday to Friday with occasional overtime offered on weekends.
